- Extract all the files from Part 1,
- And browse for them in the upper left hand window in your FTP Client
- Dbl Click the C Drive on the Xbox, right hand window in FTP Client
- Create a new folder named BACKUP ORIGINALS on the Xbox C Drive
- Copy the default.xbe, xbox.xtf, Xbox Book.xtf to the new folder
(may need them later, in case something goes wrong)
Now if you have a folder named fonts you might realize you dont have the Xbox
and Xbox Book xtf files in the C Drive, Thats because they are in the Fonts Folder
You may not even have a defualt.xbe file in there... thats ok too, if you dont have one
then theres no need to put it in the BACKUP ORIGINALS folder.
- If they are there, copy them to the BACKUP ORIGINALS folder
- Rename xbox.xtf and xboxbook.xtf files to: xbox.xft, and and xboxbook.xft
they need to be in the original folder they were in, be it the C Drive or Fonts folder
But their extensions need to be xft instead of xtf
- Browse for the "bert and ernie Xploit" folder from the Gouki-xbox modless archive.zip
In the upper left hand window, in FTP Client, you should see "bert.xtf" and "ernie.xtf"
Transfer these to the C Drive on the Xbox to the same place the xbox.xtf and xbox
book.xtf files were
If you have a Fonts folder they go in there, if not, they just go in the C Drive
- Browse for the "Free-XEvox" folder and transfer "defaut.xbe" to the C Drive
where all those other xbox system files are... it doesnt go in the fonts folder
whether you have one or not
Now if you followed this tutorial exactly,
It SHOULD boot up to the Beautiful Evox menu when you restart your xbox
If not, you will see the "Black Screen Of Death" that says:
Its Ok, you can always pop in "007 Agent Under Fire" or "Mechassault"
and load up Evox again and follow the tutorial again.
if not... you see the Beautiful Evox screen below
